Careful consideration of the acoustics and soundscapes can animate the unseen in a T.I.M.E. (tech incorporated media elements) based media piece in ways the material cannot. Consideration of all senses is priority. If music has the ability to move people, to motivate people to dance and take action why would this be any different in any setting. The producer/dj is the modern conductor of emotions and actions. If one can master their own soundscape one can master themselves.
Music has an uncanny ability to take us somewhere else. Somewhere where the material can’t go. The agency that sound has in our world is unmatched. This raw form of energy can be harnessed and imbued into the material world to create lasting and real material effects. As a creator I have a moral obligation to consider this. By dissecting and understanding the way which sound influences us as a collective. New sounds dismantle the landscape by disrupting the soundscape. If the universe is like an instrument, it's been playing out tune for far too long now. If someone just came along and tuned it, it could sound beautiful again. But the thing about tuning an instrument is that it has to sound worse before it can sound better. You have to go through a range of unpleasant notes until you find the right keys.🔑
